Memory board

When my first daughter was born my sister gave me this cute memory board.

I used it for her, but lately it's been in my new little girls room. I am finally getting around to decorating that room. I loved the board with the cute baby feet, but it stuck out like a sore thumb in the room. So today I decided to recover it. I had some leftover fabric from Averie's car seat canopy so I used that. Then I used some ribbon to make the pleats at the bottom, and a gluber and more leftover fabric for the flower. I like how it turned out. I hope my sister does too.

Naptime Scrapbook page

I am still working on Koris first year book. I think it might turn out to be a first six months book. Lol I have tons of pictures!

I am really happy with how this page turned out. I took colors from the pictures and incorporated them into the layout. All papers are DCWV. The words and hearts I cut with my E2. Thanks for looking.

MPS CHALLENGE 12!

I did it! I am so excited I did all twelve challenges. It took me three days, and I only have an hour left to spare, but I did it!!!!!
The last challenge was to make a "kid" page. I decided to make a page for Koris Disneyland album. Minnie Mouse is her favorite, so I started there. I will add the picture later.

Oh by the way the new cricut rocks!

MPS challenge 9

Use lots of glitz and glam....OK.
I have to be honest, this is one of my favorite pages ever!!!!!! I love the simplicity, the glam, and of course the subject, my baby girl. I don't know if the picture will do it justice but, it is a very sparkly page. The orange is from the DCWV glitter stack. The circles have shine, and I backed them with pink from the DCWV glitter stack. I LOVE it!!

Thanks

Mps challenge 11

Almost done!
This one was lots of fun for me because it's one of my favorite color combinations. Use pink, green, and black. I knew I had to do a page for my daughters first birthday, her color theme was pink and green. I will add the pictures later. And maybe something else, it's seems kind of blah now that I look at it. Oh well, enjoy.

Mps challenge 10

This challenge was to make something with a pet in it. I have been slowly working on my Daisys book so I thought I'd do a layout for that. It's getting easier to work on her pictures now, it's been over a year since we had to put her down, and I still miss her. Sorry on to the layout.
It's just a simple black and white page with a splash of color with the pink ribbon. I heat embossed her name on the page, and even though I ran my emboss buddy over the paper it still turned out messy, but, I kind of liked it so I kept it. Thanks for reading.

MPS challenge 7

Make a scrapbook page. Easy, already in that mode. :)
I did a two page layout for this one.

Mps challenging 6

Make something with a tag on it.
Another challenge for me as I don't use a lot of tags in my stuff. But I like how it turned out.

The tag is cut from the essentials cart on my CE2.

MPS challenge number 5

Make a 3d item. I decided to make a hair clip for my girls. I got the idea for this flower from the DCWV blog.

Mps challenge 4

Make something with a mothers day theme. I actually had to make three of these, but I only completed one in the hour time challenge. They will be gifts for my girls Grandmas.
The flower stems are actually the girls hands.

Mps challenge 3

Make something with a breast cancer awareness theme.
I don't really like how this turned out, but you can't like them all right?

Mps challenge 2

This challenge was actually really difficult for me. I don't use Kraft cardstock, and wasn't sure if I even had any, luckily I did.

I made this page using DCWV Kraft cardstock, and basic grey paper. Sorry the pictures aren't great they are just taken with my iPhone.

MPS National Scrapbook Day Challenge 1

I am so excited for National Scrapbook Day. Besides the twelve challenges put on by Robyn and her design team I will also be challenging myself to try and create a scrapbook page for every challenge. I have gotten so behind on scrapbooking, hopefully this will help.

The first challenge was to create something with a cupcake. I created this page using my new CE2. I will add the pictures later. Hope you like it, I do.

Mothers Day Gifts

I really wanted to give handmade gifts for Mothers Day this year. I didn't really have that good an idea of what I wanted to make, I just knew I wanted them to be handmade. So yesterday the girls and I ventured out to Michaels to get inspiration. The whole time we were there all I could was how I wish I could sew. It's something I have never learned to do, and want to badly. One day when I have time and maybe am without little babies around me all the time I will take a class, until then I will dream.

So while we were walking around I saw some aprons and thought it would be fun to make aprons for the Grandmas from the girls. I got some iron on transfer sheets that go in your printer so you can put anything on them, and three aprons and called it good. Both my MIL, and my DH Grandma are amazing cooks! Grandma lives in her aprons! My mom is a good cook as well, but her health keeps her from doing too much. But, when she does cook she wears an apron.....so PERFECT! I hope.

Today I made my Moms apron. I thought the sentiment I chose was really cute, "Grandmas Love is Homemade."

After messing up one whole apron....a little advice...read all the directions before attempting something new, lol, I got one really cute apron. But it looked a little plain. Just a sentiment wasn't enough.

Again, being able to sew would be a good thing here. I would have added pockets, or some ribbon or something. But, nope I am a paper crafter....so I had glue, and flowers and buttons. I added a cute flower to it. After I added it I realized she wont be able to wash it!!!! Ooops! Washing is kind of important with a thing like an apron. Oh well, my mom probably wont use it that much anyway.

The other two I will finish this week. I might even see if my wonderful fantastic sewer cousin will be able to help me a little.

Thanks for stopping by,

Have a great day,

Nicole

MPS challenge #1

I made this card for the My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day challenge #1.....thats a mouthful.

I didn't quite know where I was going with this card when I started. I knew I didn't have time to use my cricut, hello I have two little girls that keep me so busy! As it is, it took me two hours to make one silly card. Oh well, I will continue working as the day goes, and into this evening and tomorrow.

Today my sister, her girls, my girls, my mom, and myself are all going to lunch to celebrate Mothers Day and my Moms Birthday...which is on the seventh.

Anyway, so the card base is blue textured cardstock from DCWV, the yellow layer is from American Crafts Adobe line, and the brown layer is the reverse side of the yellow polk-a-dot paper.

The flower is from Basic Grey, I think the Sugar Rush collection, and the sentiment is from a sticker set I've had for a while. It turned out to be a really simple card. Which was good because my 19 month old "helped." The sentiment says, "Grandmas, make everything sweeter." This goes along with the gift we are making for the Grandmas this year. I will show you that in a following post.
Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget I will do a blog candy if I ever get 50 subscribers!! Tell your friends.
Thanks,
Nicole

"Celebrate" Baby Card, my pink stamper challenge #1, with video

I made this card for the my pink stamper challenge. It was to make something using black, and your favorite color. Well, my favorite color also just happens to be pink just like Robyn. I enjoyed making this card a lot.

I made a nugget tin to go with my girlie card I made last week. I gave it to a girl from church for her birthday. She liked it so much she said that she was going to keep the tin and put stuff in it. :)

This is the sentiment that I stamped on the inside of the card. Both stamps are from CTMH.

This is a picture of both the card and the tin together.
Here is the tin full of the Hershey nuggets I wrapped.
A look at the papers I used to wrap the nuggets. All papers used were BasicGrey.

Sorry for the blur of this picture. I made a ribbon slide using a CTMH stamp, and some PTI ribbon. The stamp says for you!

A look at the lid and the front of the tin.

The lid. The green, and blue card stock, stamp, and ribbon are all from CTMH. The patterned paper, and brads are from BasicGrey. The flowers are Prima, and the jewels are from the dollar section at Michaels.

Thanks card

I tried to challenge myself with this card. I wanted to make a one layer card, that didn't quite work for me, but I tried my best. All the products used are Close To My Heart.

I used the masking technique for the first time. I really like the way it turned out.

Thanks for looking,

Nicole
